The Cambodian national volleyball team will participate in the Malaysia Tri Nation Invitation (MTNI) in Malaysia. MTNI, which has three participating countries, including hosts Malaysia, Cambodia and Singapore, will start competing on March 29, 2023 in Kuala Lumpur.

Mr. Aing Serey Piseth, Secretary General of the National Volleyball Federation of Cambodia, said that the invitation to participate in the MINI competition by the host Malaysia is an important advantage for Cambodian players as well as other participating countries to measure the level of ability before the game. “I think it is a warm-up between ASEAN countries to prepare for the SEA Games in Cambodia in early May,” Ang Serey Piseth said in a recent telephone interview.
Mr. Serey Piseth said that this international friendly match is also planned to invite Myanmar team, but they are not ready to participate. Separately, for the three-nation tournament, the Secretary-General confirmed that Indonesia and Thailand did not participate because the host Malaysia did not invite.

It should be noted that 14 Cambodian national volleyball players will travel to Malaysia to compete in the Malaysia Tri Nation Invitation at the MBSA Indoor Volleyball Hall Section 4 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The competition will run from March 29 to April 1, 2023.
