Mane faced a new challenge by joining Bayern after winning six trophies in six seasons with Liverpool. This Senegalese picture has fallen into playoff form without being able to show a form that makes him the best player in the globe, like during his time at Anfield.

He did not start Bayern’s last three Bundesliga matches two seasons ago when the invasion competition with Borussia Dortmund was hot. He started only 18 times in the league, partly because of injuries, and scored only seven times; he played only 12 times in all competitions.

Because Bayern failed to replace Robert Lewandowski personally when he joined Barc Theelona and Mane spent a lot of the fighting, it was a huge case of disappointment from all sides.

Frustration erupted in April when Mane was stuck in facing teammate Leroy Sane at the end of the match Champions League with Manchester City. Sane ended with blood stained lips while Mane was fined money and suspended for a game.

Tuchel, who was appointed in March, told Sport1:

“He has fallen below expectations; the competitive situation is very high, the starting position is not easy for him; the player knows too, he knows my mind and the idea of the club.”
