The former Madrid player left for Bayern Munich in 2014 before hanging up his boots three years later.

He then took over when he was appointed coach of the Emperors' youth team and was impressed with his attacking style, now Alonso is in charge of Leverkusen and has been praised for a change of team. This too. His team is well-organized while always playing with attacking intentions. They are second in the Bundesliga, winning four and drawing one of their opening five matches.
