The FA has announced that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is charged with affecting referee Paul Tierney after a 4-3 victory against Tottenham on Sunday.An intense match at Anfield helped the Reds earn three important points to continue their Hope of the Champions League next season.
Klopp was involved in a dispute with Tierney referee after Spurs’ third goal as well as fourth official John Brookes on the run to celebrate Jota’s victory.The FA confirmed in a statement that Klopp was charged with comment in his post-match news conference.
The statement wrote: “Liverpool FC’s Jurgen Klopp was charged after their Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur FC on Sunday, April 30.
It is alleged that the comment by the general manager involving match officials during media interviews post-match creates a mentality Inappropriate that they demonstrate bias and/or question the accuracy of the referee and/or personal insults and/or bring a match falling into indecency.
Jurgen Klopp has until Friday, May 5, to provide a response.”
