Cambodian athletes have won seven medals at the four-day 7th Asian Ju Jitsu Championship in Bangkok.
The tournament took place from February 24 to 28, with 18 Cambodian athletes participating in the event. More than 500 athletes from 30 countries in Asia joined the competition.
The Cambodian Ju Jitsu Federation said yesterday that Cambodian athletes grabbed four silver and three bronze medals.
On Tuesday, athletes won four medals – two silver and two bronze.
Touch Pikakada and Kongmona Mithora who competed in the men’s doubles won a silver medal.
Heng Seaheang and Kongmona Mithora in the men’s and women’s Duo Mixed also won a silver medal.
Sor Sophanut and Tin Sovanlina in Men’s and Women’s Duo Mixed bagged a bronze medal.
Tin Sovanlina and Heng Seavheang in the women’s doubles event also won a bronze medal.
“Congratulations to our Athletes who won four medals, two silver and two bronze, on Day Four of the 7th Asian Championship 2023, in Bangkok, Thailand,” the Cambodian Ju Jitsu Federation announced.
“Our team earned a total of seven medals during the event, promoting Cambodia to the second rank in the Duo/Show system,” the federation added.
Earlier, on February 25, the athletes won two silver and one bronze medals.
