The 32nd National Organizing Committee of the Southeast Asian Games (CAMSOC) issued a notice on April 7 banning the use of intellectual property in its images for advertising to any private business. One without asking permission. CAMSOC considers the unauthorized use of intellectual property for business purposes to be a violation of the NEC’s intellectual property and illegal.

According to Facebook Cambodia 2023, on the afternoon of April 7, 2023, the NEC lawyers announced the following terms of use of intellectual property:

A. Ministries, institutions, sub-national authorities, individuals must be allowed to use those properties for the purpose of supporting and promoting the promotion towards the 32nd SEA Games and the 12th ASEAN Para Games 2023 in Cambodia on a non-profit basis.

B. National sports federations, sports organizations and partner organizations may authorize the use of these intellectual property rights by requesting prior use.

C. Private sector / private company may be allowed to use through the terms of the contract as a partner, co-sponsor or licensee.

D. Civil society organizations serving the 32nd SEA Games and the 12th ASEAN Para Games 2023 may be required to use the terms and conditions of the contract.

E. Media that support and promote the benefits of the 32nd SEA Games and the 12th ASEAN Para Games 2023, which are non-profit, subject to contracts and conditions.
