German coach explains Havertz’s defense

Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann made a surprise move recently. He named Kai Havertz as a left-back in a friendly between Germany and Turkey.

Kai Havertz, a 24-year-old German, usually plays as a attacking midfielder and sometimes as a professional footballer.
However, in the German-Turkish match, coach Nagelsmann replaced Havertz as a left-back. In this role, Havertz scored one goal in that match. However, Germany lost to Turkey 2 to 3.

Regarding the decision to place Havertz as a winger, Nagelsmann explained that this is a great opportunity for Havertz to show his ability in This important role, especially in the upcoming Euro. He said that Havertz wanted to try to play in this role and he agreed. For Nagelsmann, Havertz played well as a left-back.
Havertz is currently playing for Arsenal. The player has played a total of 19 times and scored one goal this season. Prior to joining Chelsea, he played for Chelsea for three seasons, playing a total of 139 games and scoring 32 goals.
