Cambodian national team athlete Meas Sinath changes from a tug of war to a traditional boat player to have the opportunity to compete in the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia. Sinath expressed optimism about the change, saying that there are not many obstacles as long as there is will and love.

Meas Sinath, a 33-year-old racer, has switched from tug-of-war to training as a traditional boat racer. Sinath trained in tug-of-war for two years from 2017 before becoming a traditional boat racer in 2019 until today.

The Cambodian national team player recently told the media that changing careers is not difficult, but what is important is the will and passion. “I was a former trawler, then I got into this traditional boat sport. Switching from one sport to another is not difficult for me because I love it.

We love wrestling, we love boating. And when I came to the sport, I had the opportunity to compete in the SEA Games to represent Cambodia. So I train hard. ”

This is the first time that Sinath has hosted Cambodia’s SEA Games, and this is also the first time for him to represent his homeland in an international event. The traditional boatman says he is very proud to be involved in sports for the past six years.

“I’m interested in playing. I have never participated in a competition like other seniors. For the first time for me, I really wanted to play. I have to train hard and listen to the advice of the coaches and the advice of the management. “The coaches and seniors told me to train hard, to do well.” Mr. Meas Sinath said so.
