Paul Pogba faces long-term ban after repeated tests positive for drugs

Paul Pogba is facing a four-year ban and the cancellation of his Juventus contract after a follow-up analysis confirmed a positive drug test.

Juventus suspended Pogba on September 11 after a drug test with abnormally high testosterone levels following their August Serie A win over Udinese. Pogba asked for the sample to be re-analyzed, hoping negative and his name could be removed.

However, Gianluca Di Marzio has confirmed that a follow-up analysis has also yielded positive results, with Juventus now considering further proceedings.

It is possible that Juventus chose to cancel Pogba's contract, leaving him to face a long-term football ban by Italy's national anti-drug court.

The worst case scenario for Pogba would be a four-year ban if he was found to have voluntarily increased testosterone levels. If the increase is found to be involuntary, the maximum penalty will be banned for only two years.
