Encouragement! Cambodia offers nearly 3 billion riels to the winners of the 11th Para Games

Samdech Pich Sena Tea Banh, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense and Chairman of the CAMSOC-CAMAPGOC National Committee, High Representative of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia Presented the Royal Government’s Incentive Prize to the Winners of the 11th ASEAN Para Games 2022 in Indonesia with a Total Budget of 2,708 6,000,000 Riels at the Ministry’s Office National defense this morning, March 13.

The 11th ASEAN Para Games was held from July 30 to August 6, 2022 in Solo, Indonesia, with Cambodia sending 115 disabled athletes in 11 sports to participate under the leadership. His Excellency Hun Many, President of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia and Chairman of the Delegation. As a result, the Cambodian team won 7 gold, 10 silver and 11 bronze medals, ranking 7th out of 11 countries.

On behalf of the High Representative, Samdech Techo Prime Minister Samdech Pich Sena Tea Banh praised the hard work and dedication of Cambodian athletes with disabilities despite the special difficulties during the more than two years of the Kovid-19 epidemic crisis. However, the leaders of the National Paralympic Committee of Cambodia, coaches, assistant coaches and athletes themselves have tried and worked hard to win medals and national honors.

To encourage the above efforts, today, the Royal Government also handed out prize money to coaches, assistant coaches and athletes. This shows the strong attention of the Royal Government, especially Samdech Techo Hun Sen in supporting, encouraging and encouraging athletes, both disabled and non-disabled, to make all athletes warm and Encouragement to participate in various international competitions, especially preparing to host the upcoming SEA Games-ASEAN Para Games 2023.
