Jamie Carragher claims Liverpool and Man Utd are just competing against Man City next season, not Arsenal

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher believes Arsenal will not be a rival to Man Chester City for the Premier League title next season, but are not Liverpool and Manchester United.

Jurgen Klopp’s team, albeit poorly earlier in the season, has sought some chainsaw so far, with the Reds unknown to defeat in their last 10 matches.

Manchester United has enjoyed a successful season, winning the Carabao Cup against Newcastle in February while they are due to rival City in next month’s FA Cup final.

Carragher thinks the two clubs will compete with Manchester City next season, excluding Arsenal as a partner, Carragher said:

“I will choose Liverpool and Manchester United. I think Liverpool will come back and talk about the quality Man City’s actual competitiveness is probably a little big, it is still too big for Manchester United.

But I see these two teams; where Manchester United is going, they look strong. If they have a few attacking players and scoring more goals, that’s what they need to do.

Liverpool will reinvest in a midfielder and they have the players who have won the biggest awards in the past, so I want to say Liverpool and Manchester United.”
